The University of Cyprus is organizing Summer Academies from the 1st to the 5th of July 2024. These academies are for students who want to explore the scientific fields that interest them, get to know the University of Cyprus, and get a taste of university life.

The program includes lectures, workshops, experiments, discussions, tours, visits, use of the Sports Center, recreational activities, and free time for socializing. Instruction will be in Greek. At the end of the program, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

High school and Technical School students and students who will have completed their third year of Gymnasium by July 2024 can participate in the Summer Academies. Since spots are limited, priority will be given as follows: (a) to students who have not participated in the Summer Academies before, (b) based on the year of birth (only the year), with older students given priority, and (c) based on the date/time of application submission.

There is the possibility of hosting a limited number of participants at the University of Cyprus Student Residence. Students living outside the greater Nicosia area will be prioritized for accommodation.

Among the academies, students interested in STEAM education can choose to attend the Academy of Engineering and Technology Applications and the Academy of Physical Sciences and Technology. In these academies, the students will have the chance to take interdisciplinary courses related to Engineering, Technology, Environmental Studies, Robotics, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
