The SpicE project will be implemented in 4 European countries (Greece, Cyprus, Spain and Bulgaria) and will produce the following key results:
- A Competence and Education framework for STEAM in Special Education with at least 2 updated profiles of STEAM Educator and 1 new profile of a STEAM Special Educator and at least 10 new competencies and at least 10 best practices.
- At least 16 stakeholders actively involved in the identification of the gaps in STEAM in Special Education (4 per piloting country).
- A Joint STEAM Curriculum for Special Education, which will include two educational pathways, one for in-service and one for pre-service teacher training, supported by partners in 2 modes: a local/national version (all project countries) and 4 modules that will be offered jointly.
- A STEAM Training Programme for Special Education that includes blended mobility actions between the project countries, supported by a MOOC and OERs in English and in partner languages (Greek, Spanish and Bulgarian) with a duration of 4 months (part time, moderated).
- At least 16 mentors/facilitators in STEAM in Special Education trained in the Education framework for STEAM in Special Education for the support of the pilot training (4 trainers per piloting country).
- At least 4 one to many peer learning activities (2 per piloting country) for the support of the pilot training.
- At least 200 in-service/pre-service teachers trained in the STEAM Training Programme for Special Education (at least 50 in each country).
- 48 in-service/pre-service teachers participating in 4 study visits/workshops.
- Policy Influencer tool in English and in partner languages (Greek, Spanish and Bulgarian).
- 1 Community of Practise with at least 500 members (relevant stakeholders).
- 1 CoP on-line Collaboration platform.
- 1 Piloting Evaluation Report (including pilot evaluation results) in English and 4 executive summaries translated in partner languages for further scale-up of the training programme at local, national and EU level.
- 8 National events and one main conference
- Policy Recommendations based on pilot evaluation results in 4 countries.
