The Hellenic Open University will organize in early September 2024 an Infoday to present the training programme of the SpicE project, which aims to improve teachers’ skills to efficiently apply STEAM education and facilitate the educational and social inclusion of students with mild disabilities.
The infoday will be held in Greek and is addressed to:
- Teachers of Primary and Secondary Education
- Schools of Primary Education, which, supported by their Principles or School Coordinators, wish to promote the participation of their teaching staff
- University Students of Departments of Education

The SpicE training programme will be offered free of charge. Its implementation will start in September 2024 and will include three steps:
- A Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) of 40 hours of asynchronous distance training,which will cover the basic skills that are needed to implement an inclusive STEAMeducation in the classroom. - A blended learning online course of 15 hours, which will deepen the participants’ skills forinclusive STEAM education
- A teacher mobility scheme, during which selected teachers will travel to take part inpractical workshops for the application of inclusive STEAM education
The teachers who will complete any part of the training programme will receive the respective certificate.
With the participation of schools and teachers, SpicE consortium aspires to foster the creation of a wide network of support and collaboration, reinforcing the quality of STEAM special education and offering equal learning opportunities to all students
