SpicE project takes the spotlight at the 16th ALL DIGITAL Summit 2023, in Zagreb, Croatia
The 16th ALL DIGITAL Summit 2023 provided an excellent basis so that the outstanding outcomes the “Special Education STEAM Academy-SpicE“ EU project are showcased by the DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU), being the Coordinator. The international event was held on 25th to 27th September 2023, in Zagreb (Croatia), it was organized by the ALL DIGITAL (AD) network on the “Skills for the Digital Future” theme and achieved to bring together digital education stakeholders from across Europe.
More precisely and with regard to the SpicE project, Natalia Spyropoulou, Project Manager and Researcher of DAISSy, took the floor and highlighted the demanding role of DAISSy being the Coordinator and the remarkable outcomes of this groundbreaking initiative implemented by the SpicE consortium involving eleven (11) partners from four (4) EU member-states (Greece, Spain, Cyprus and Bulgaria). She emphasized on the project objectives on promoting inclusivity in education, particularly in the context of Special Education and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) practices.
In particular, Ms. Spyropoulou analyzed how the consortium’s dedication led to revolutionizing education by developing innovative strategies and resources to ensure inclusivity in Special Education and STEAM education. It is true, that the SpicE Project stands as a testament to the commitment of the DAISSy-HOU to advancing educational practices and creating a more equitable learning environment for all.
