Madrid Launches Physical Education Training for Students with Intellectual Disabilities
The Community of Madrid is offering a specialized training program in physical education for students with intellectual disabilities. Scheduled for May 7, 2024, the program aims to enhance the overall development of these students through well-structured physical activities. It will take place at the Canal de Isabel II sports facilities in Madrid.
Organized by the General Directorate of Sports, the training focuses on adapting physical education programs to the individual needs of students with intellectual disabilities. Participants will learn to implement neurobiologically supported motor functions and postural regulation techniques.
The program targets physical activity professionals, educators, and students over 14 years old. The course will be led by José Manuel Gómez Pascual, an expert in physical education for special needs and hydrotherapy, who will share his extensive experience and practical insights.
This initiative underscores the importance of inclusive education and the role of physical activity in promoting the development and well-being of students with intellectual disabilities. The Community of Madrid encourages early registration due to limited spots.
