The University of Macedonia has been selected to participate in the European project “Special Education STEAM Academy”. The project aims to develop innovative approaches to special education and social inclusion through the use of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).<\/p>\n

The project is funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program and brings together partner organizations from across Europe: Greece, Cyprus, Spain and Bulgaria. The University of Macedonia will collaborate with these partners to create a STEAM academy for special education students, providing them with the opportunity to learn and develop important skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.<\/p>\n

The STEAM academy will offer a range of workshops and educational activities, including robotics, coding, and 3D printing, to help students develop their creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. The project also aims to develop teaching materials and methodologies that can be shared with other institutions and educators.<\/p>\n

“We are proud to be a part of this important project that aims to promote educational and social inclusion for special education students,” said Professor Ioannis Armakolas, the project coordinator at the University of Macedonia. “By using innovative approaches and the latest technologies, we hope to provide students with the tools and skills they need to succeed and thrive in a rapidly changing world.”<\/p>\n
